In August 2025, Montenegro's state-owned energy company EPCG launched a third
public tender for the design and construction of the Otilovići small hydropower plant (SHPP), after previous attempts were canceled or failed to attract bidders.
The project's estimated value is €7 million (excluding VAT) and aims to build a ~2.6 MW plant on the existing Otilovići dam to increase renewable energy production and support the local economy in the Pljevlja region.
